If you find you're having a problem trying to launch a game on your Nintendo Switch, or the game isn't working properly, you may have some corrupted data on your console.
When a corrupted data error appears, it prevents you from accessing the game or sometimes the game may not function correctly if you are able to open it. Corrupt data normally occurs when there was an interruption when saving the game or the system has detected a crucial file is missing from the software itself.
Luckily, this is usually an easy fix!
How do I check for and repair corrupted data on my Nintendo Switch?
To check if there is any corrupted data in the game you are having issues with, please:
From the HOME Menu, select System Settings
Scroll down the options on the left and select Data Management
On the right-hand side select Software
Then select the software title you would like to check
Select Check for Corrupt Data
If corrupt data was found you will need to select the Redownload option and follow the instructions that appear.
