The first thing we would recommend when experiencing any sort of crash is to make sure that your system specs match the minimum or required specs for the game itself.
MARAUDERS MINIMUM:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i5-6600/AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
- Memory: 12 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB/AMD Radeon R9 380 4GB
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 10 GB available space
MARAUDERS RECOMMENDED:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400/AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB /AMD Radeon RX 590 8GB
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 10 GB available space
Once you are sure your system matches these specifications, the next thing to do is to check that your GPU drivers are fully up-to-date. For steps on how to do this, please see the following articles:
If you have completed this step and you are still finding a crash issue with Marauders, we might have a solution.
Simple Solutions:
-
Please make sure that the game is installed on the same hard drive as the Easy-Anti Cheat is installed on.
-
Make sure to double-check your Steam client for any pending updates - you can do this by clicking Steam in the top-left of the Steam client window and selecting 'Check for Steam client updates...'
-
Verify your game files on Steam - please see this article should you need steps on how to do this:
-
If you have any Armoury Crate/ArmourySocketServer.exe software installed, uninstall the program completely and retest the game.
-
Check that your anti-virus/firewall/windows defender is not blocking the game in any way - please see Error Code (0xc0000005) below for exclusions to add if your antivirus is blocking the game.
Solution 1: Crash on start-up with no error
Please check if you have MSI Afterburner (NVIDIA) or Riva Tuner (AMD) installed.
If so please uninstall the software completely and retest the game.
Solution 2: Crash after the introductory cut-scene with no error
-
Search Command Prompt in the Search bar
-
Right-click on it and Run as Administrator
-
Then type "net stop winmgmt" and Enter
-
Leave the command prompt on open and click Start
-
Type system32
-
Open the folder system32 from the result panel
-
From the system32 folder, open Wbem and look for the folder Repository
-
Right-click Repository and select Rename
-
Change the folder name from Repository to Repository.old
-
Switch back to the command prompt and type "net start winmgmt" and then Enter to execute
-
Reboot your computer and retest the game
Solution 3: Application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)
When receiving this error code, please make sure your GPU drivers are fully up-to-date as mentioned previously. If after that step you are still receiving this error code, please go to your antivirus software and add the following files to the list of exclusions:
-
RaidGame.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PHtest
-
RaidGame-Win64-Shipping.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PHtest\RaidGame\Binaries\Win64
Solution 4: Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address (0xffffffffffffffff)
If you receive error code 0xffffffffffffffff, please check if you have the ASUS audio software 'Sonic Suite Companion' on your system.
If so, please uninstall the Sonic Suite Companion and retest the game.
This can also happen with Nahimic Suite so if you have this software installed, again, uninstall and retest the game.
Solution 5: The game is crashing when I move items in my inventory
If you are finding that your game is crashing whilst moving items around your inventory, please make sure that your Windows Date & Time settings are currently accurate.
For safe measure, we would recommend synchronising your Date & Time.
To do this:
-
Press your Windows key and enter Settings
-
Select Time & Language
-
Select Date & Time
-
Enter Additional Settings
-
Select Sync Now
If your Date & Time appears correct in the first place, please reset the time and date automatically.
Solution 6: Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address (0x00000000)
This error code can sometimes be caused by a memory issue.
At this stage we would recommend you run a memory test - we recommend using MemTest86.
We would also recommend disabling XMP for your RAM.
To do this you need to reboot your PC and enter BIOS. Usually, the XMP profile is clearly marked in the settings. Just look for RAM or Memory Settings option then for XMP or X.M.P. After disabling the option save the settings and open Windows to retest the game.
If you have any problems whilst completing these steps, find that none of these solutions match what you are looking for or you are still crashing despite following the steps provided, please don't hesitate to reach out to us over here - please attach your DxDiag to your email (as we will need this for troubleshooting) and describe what is happening with the crash in as much detail as possible - and we'd be happy to help!
