Firstly, please make sure that the game is not being blocked by your antivirus software.
If it's not your antivirus, then please check if have any of the following software installed on your PC:

If you do, please press Ctrl+Alt+Del to open Task Manager, find Asus GameFirst VI and Asus Aura on the list, right-click on each and select End Task. Alternatively, you can uninstall the Asus software, reboot your PC and open the game to check if the problem has been resolved.
If the issue continues, then please follow the steps below.
Solution 1:
-
Go to the Windows Settings

Click the link Network and Sharing Centre

Then click on the link you have under the Access Type, next to Connections - the link is the Ethernet cable or WiFi you are using to connect
-

-
Then please retest your game.
Solution 2:
Connect your PC directly to your router with a LAN cable. Don't use any adapters, network extenders etc. If you were already doing this, try to replace the cable if you have a spare one, and retest the game.
Solution 3:
Check your currently running processes, especially antiviruses, internet and motherboard utilities. Check their settings to make sure they don't slow down your internet. If nothing improves the situation, close every software you can one by one and retest the game.
Solution 4:
Other players recently told us the issue got fixed after they installed NVIDIA Experience.
If your graphics card is NVIDIA, and if you don't have that software installed yet, could you please try to install it?
You can do that by clicking here!
Solution 5:
Intel Killer Control Center and the included Killer Network Service can cause this error.
Its an optional network control center that comes pre-installed on a lot of intel based gaming laptops; MSI, Dell etc.
Disable Intel Killer Network Service:
- Right-click your Taskbar
- Click Task Manager, then the Startup tab
- Find Killer Control Center, right-click it and Disable it from Startup

- Right-click Killer Network Service then click Properties. This will bring up Killer Network Service Properties (Local Computer)
- In the middle it states Startup type. Click the dropdown and select Disabled1. Right-click your Taskbar
If disabling the service doesn't work, please uninstall Intel Killer Control Center
- Go to your Windows search bar
- Type in and go to Apps & features
- Find the Killer Control Center from the list
- Click Killer Control Center and select the option to uninstall
